DeSQ: Decomposition-based SPARQL Query Generation
We are excited to share the preprint of our new paper “DeSQ: Decomposition-based SPARQL Query Generation” by Karou Diallo, Aditya Sharma, Neshat Elhami Fard, and Amal Zouaq.
DeSQ decomposes complex KBQA questions into atomic constraints, maps each constraint to SPARQL fragments with standardized placeholders, grounds URIs separately, and then assembles a complete SPARQL query. This approach improves robustness to lexical variation, simplifies evaluation without a live KB endpoint, and supports fine-grained error analysis.
